"The Navidson Record"

"The Navidson Record" is a subplot of Mark Z. Danielewski's House of Leaves. It is supposedly an award-winning documentary praised by the likes of Ken Burns and Stanley Kubrick, created based on the experiences of the Navidson family in an otherworldly house. The narrator of the main story reads the account of these experiences in a scholarly study written by a man named Zampano, but can find no evidence that Zampano, the house, the Navidson family, or the documentary actually existed. House of Leaves plays a lot with the concept of ambiguity surrounding source trustworthiness. This mock trailer adds yet another layer of mystery to the saga, a trailer for a movie that exists neither in real life nor in the world of the book that mentions it.
